Would You Like to Help a Veteran Have a Second Chance on Life?

PA American Legion Housing for Homeless Veterans has been involved since 1987 providing homes for homeless veterans.  The American Legion has moved into a new frontier, by providing transitional homes for homeless veterans, male and female with dependant children.  The need for transitional housing is far greater than the homes we currently occupy.  Why is the need so great?  There is an estimated 250,000 to 1 million homeless veterans on any given night. And it is said that over 10% is women veterans.

Our program is designed to enhance the quality of life for the veteran, and now, for his/her children.  It is designed to help them become productive tax paying citizens again by securing a good decent job.  Over the years, we have had over 400 veterans go through our program with an 85% success rate.  Our homes are located in Moon Twp. a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA, a home in Philadelphia, PA and a home in Ephrata, PA.  The remodeling and upkeep of these homes is the responsibility of the American Legion Housing for Homeless Veterans, Inc.  All money raised or donated is used entirely for the upkeep of the properties.
