We encourage our Federal Government to reopen the National Service Life Insurance program for a minimum of one year for all disabled veterans within underwriting criteria similar to that of the Veterans Reopened Program of 1965-1966, to include a similar reopened period for the service-disabled insurance program for those veterans in good health except for their service-connected disability, regardless of the date of their service connected rating, and that such reopened issues be at a maximum optional face value at a level that appropriately reflects current inflationary experience |

We encourage our Federal Government to allow the National Flag to be flown at half-staff for the entire day on Memorial Day, May 30th, beginning at 12:01 a.m. until 12:00 midnight, but only in accordance with The United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Paragraph 174 9a), which states the Flag may be flown during the hours of darkness if properly illuminated |
